Suppression of NK cells is a result of TGF-?? induction of microRNA (miR)-183, which binds and represses DNAX activating protein 12 kDa (DAP12), a signal adaptor for lytic function in NK cells
and interupts DAP12 dependent signaling (at least via NKp44 and KIR2DS4 receptors) .
