KLF4 together with STAT6 upregulates expression of PPARG and ARG1 downstream of IL4.
KLF4-deficient macrophages demonstrated increased proinflammatory gene expression, enhanced bactericidal activity, and altered metabolism.
KLF4 inhibits PTGS2 (COX2) expression. Probably via prevention of NFkB activaiton.
