Heparin is ligand of NKp30, NKp44 and Nkp46. The NCRs initiate tumor targeting by recognition of??heparan??sulfate??on cancer cells.??Tumor cells expressing cell surface heparanase or lacking membranal heparan manifest reduced recognition by NKp30 and NKp46 and are lysed to a lesser extent by NK cells.
