The cell survival map map

The cell survival map depicts cell signaling pathways that are involved in survival and includes the following pathways: 1)
PI3K/AKT/mTOR
2)
MapK
3)
(Sonic) Hedgehog
and 4)
Wnt pathway
.

Each pathway has been constructed in such way that they can be subdivided into a cytosolic and nuclear part. In addition, the Wnt and Hedgehog pathways can also be divided into canonical and non-canonical modules.
Module: PI3K_AKT_mTOR
This module consists of a cytosolic and nuclear part in which the signaling transduction pathway starting from a Receptor Tyrosine Kinase through activation of AKT and mTOR complexes. This will result in increased protein production and altered expression of the target genes.
Module:Hedgehog
This pathway consists of three parts, starting from the cytosolic part by activation of the receptor Patched, followed by the nuclear part that shows the effect of the activated pathway on the target genes. The third part describes actually the non-canonical pathway: activated Patched can actually activate G-proteins.
Module: WNT_canonical
This module describes only the canonical wnt pathway. A canonical-wnt ligand prevents the degradation of beta-catenin by the destruction complex by inducing the formation of the signalosome which prevents formation of the destruction complex. This module is divided into a cytosolic and nuclear part. The upper part represents the cytosolic fraction, the other part represents the nuclear fraction.
Module:WNT_non-canonical
This module describes the non-canonical-wnt pathways: the Ca2+ and planar cell polarity pathway. The upper part of the module describes the signal transduction pathway in the cytosolic fraction and the lower part the nuclear fraction.
