dnarepair S_PHASE_CHECKPOINT

MAP:DNA_REPAIR/MODULE:S_PHASE_CHECKPOINT map
The propagation of cell cycle is arrested by this checkpoint to ensure complete DNA replication. DNA damage may occur during the replication due to mistakes of nucleotides incorporation, recombination mistakes, stalled replication fork or external damage.
The DNA repair machinery is active during this phase to remove singe and double strand breaks and resolve the stalled replication fork. This is the stage where HR is active for accurate double strand repair.
